A Few Words From a Degree Apprentice:

1. Make sure you know the company values before you go in.

Interview prep is overlooked and honestly this is the easiest way to show that you have good background knowledge of the company . A lot of people think they can wing it on the day but there are other applicants applying for the same role as you, the effort goes a long way. Employers want to see that you are interested in their company.

2. Be relatable and show an interest in your interviewer.

It shouldn’t be a robotic q&a session. Ask your interviewer questions too!

3. Arriving early for assessment days/ interviews.

Being punctual is essential, especially on interview and assessment days. It’s your first impression. Arrive in advance so you have time to prepare yourself.

4. Prepare for the inevitable interview questions and have good answers for them.

Most interviews end up asking the same questions in one way or another. Think about your strengths and weaknesses well in advance because you will be asked about them for sure.
